The backbone of the team, Vasanth is one of the most vocal players on the team, pushing everyone to perform at levels above their abilities and fighting for the team both on and off the court. A rebounded extraordinaire, who is proficient in the dark arts of boxing out , Vasanth is always willing to sacrifice his own offence for the benefit of the team but makes important buckets when required.
Best friend Sureshuu is another true leader and team builder of Uncle Boys, always obsessing over the team’s strategy and performance. When Uncle Boys was still a fledgling team, Suresh was it’s best offensive player,bar none. His three point shooting is also one of the team’s strengths and his staunch perimeter defence is an incredible asset to UncleBoys.
Superstar Krishna! Blazingly passionate, Krishna is everywhere on the court and never gives up on a play. Rebounding, boxing out, running for support on fast break opportunities, always returning for defence, midrange shots from inside the paint, fighting hard on defence, 3 point shooting – Krishna is the entire package. Krishna played a key role in the pre-quarter finals victory over TMC 2 by making an important layup and then breaking up the opponent’s offensive possession.
Unstoppable! Whenever Ashish wants to drive to the basket, he is a veritable juggernaut. He either makes the basket with a release so buttery smooth that it seems like he doesn’t want to hurt the net or he draws the foul and converts the FT’s. With his natural athletic ability, his well-built physique and his strong practice ethic , Ashish is well on his way to becoming a true star and a scary offensive player.With recent improvements in 3 point shooting and knowing his passion for the game, pretty soon it will be GAME OVER for opponents.
One of the two national-level players who have represented UncleBoys, Durga embodies all the virtues that a basketballer must possess. Passionate about basketball, unerringly regular to practice, a leader on the court who plays his assigned role to perfection , Durga has fought many hurdles and succeeded in each and every one of them. On defence, Durga is a beast terrorizing ballhandlers into mistakes and into giving up the ball. As one of the primary ball handlers, he is a leader on the court and sets the table. Once he expands his arsenal of offensive moves, Durga is destined for greatness.
Harsha, an IIT Guwahati graduate with a plum job in an MNC, has a game that the Flash would be jealous of. He zips across the court and has multiple finishes at the rim, leaving defenders bamboozled with the wizardry of his left handed release. A top notch 3 point shooter ,a flawless ball handler and distributor, a tireless and persistent defender- Harsha has led the team to multiple victories and got himself an invite to the Vizag district team selections as well. While others have work-life balance, Harsha has perfect work- basketball balance, taking breaks from work and flying in to lead the team to victory in many games.
Lovable and playful with a unique personality, Mohan Sai is just 100% fun to be with. Always cheerful with a smile that lights the room, Mohan Sai is equally a lion on the basketball court. His roaring drives to the rim are undefendable and either yield a basket or a foul. An important member of the finalist U-19 Uncle Boys team, Mohan Sai showcased his entire game, ranging from violent drives to impeccable shooting to hardnosed defence in the tournament. One of the mainstays of his Satyabhama University team, recognition in the form of Vizag district selection is surely around the corner for this strong, courageous and energetic baller.
The sky is the limit for Mohit in terms of basketball achievements. When Mohit drives, it inevitably results in an easy two points. When the defence builds a wall to deny him entry, he executes a nifty step back and nails it. When he is engaged on defence, no one can take him on as he rejects shot attempts with equal aplomb with both hands and no one can rebound over him either. And now,armed with a three pointer, a relatively new entry into his repertoire, Mohit will definitely be one of the best players on any team he plays on. Mohit played a key role in the U19 tournament at SNBA and executed his role with great discipline and responsibility.With a national-level certificate, multiple state and district selections , Mohit is the hottest new player on the basketball horizon.

The silent assassin who always gets the job done, Snehit, a consistent selection on the Vizag district team, is routinely the best player on the court, on both ends, mind you! A deadly 3 point shooter and a phenomenal finisher at the rim, Snehit can get anywhere he wants on the court and do anything he wants with the ball with supreme ease. His ball handling skills to get past the defender and his silky smooth pull up jumper are a beauty to behold!
The fittest guy on the court and one of the original founder members of Uncle Boys, Teja is one of the most pleasant ,empathetic and friendly guys off it. On the court, Teja is a proficient ball handler and an excellent ball distributor and his speed and strength make him a highly effective offensive player. One of the first 3 point shooters of our team, Teja has now developed a highly efficient inside game where he uses his supreme agility to make baskets off the board or squeeze in tight passes into the hands of the big man.
YASHWANTH
One of The best pure shooter in the team and possibly in the city, Varun’s shooting form is picture perfect. The quick release, the high arc, the ball rotation, the high percentage of conversion, the extended range of his point shot and the sweet swish of the net are a shooter’s delight. A very capable rebounder, Varun is yet to reach his full potential but even as he is, he is a tremendous offensive player.
